Walking in Berlin

Greetings from Berlin people! I safely arrived to Berlin on Saturday and I have been going around the city with my friend Nadja with whom I am staying for a couple of days.

On Saturday we already got to walk around, had some coffee where the waitress was Greek ( definitely not feeling homesick yet), went to see the wall of Berlin (what is left of it) and had dinner with Nadjas friends who were really nice.

Yesterday we walked a lot around the city and saw some monuments and went to all these different platzes the names of I dont remember anymore. The day ended with a movie "the wolf of wallstreet" which lasted for three hours and was one of the most messed up movies I have ever seen. 

Today we went around the city again (surprise, surprise) and tried to go up the berliner fernsehturm which was packed with tourists and we had to wait five hours in order to get there. We decided not to wait so hopefully tomorrow we will be more lucky. If not then we will definitely visit some museums...me likes !

Unfortunately, I cant get any pictures through my tablet on my blog so you will have to wait till I get back home and put some awesome pictures of Berlin!

¡Buenos días a todos!

 

To be continued...this is my last post from Barcelona and hopefully the best one! This is going to be a loooong one full of pictures and a little bit of writing so be prepared! ;)

 

For this post to be honest I have put everything all together so I have no idea in which days we did all these things.

 

Close to my house in Placa Tetuan there was the Arc de Triomf which I had no idea it was close to where I lived. I guess I was too lazy to explore my neighbourhood, because I kept visiting the same places again and again :O you never know what you can find close to your home ;)

 When we walked straight from Arc de Triomf we found Parc de la Ciutadella which was amazing! One of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen :)

 So typical ;)

 It is always a pleasure to take pictures of Essi! I just love this photo :D

 La Sagrada Familia is a must when you go to Barcelona! I don't think they will ever finish it though :/

Hanna eating churros for the first time :O

After drinking hot chocolate and eating churros we went to the chocolate museum which took us ages to find but we did it in the end, wohoo! :D

I wish they gave you a chocolate bar as an entrance ticket at every museum!

It is amazing what they can make out of chocolate :)

 somebody had imagination to do that!

It is good that the girls came to visit me because that way I got to see so many new places that I wouldn't have visited otherwise! Also I was happy to see them of course!

 

On our last night with the girls we went with Gary to a bar for some cocktails. We still keep laughing with Hanna because at some point she asks Gary "Are there any cocktails that don't have sugar in them?" we all started laughing and Hanna just had that confused look on her face. Actually that's not a bad question but personally I have never drunk a cocktail without sugar. So to repeat the question of Hanna...are there any cocktails without sugar? :D

Thank you for reading about my life in Barcelona and hopefully that wasn't my last trip! Let's see what life is going to bring next year ;)

Two and a half Finnish girls in Barcelona part 3

¡Hola!

Here comes the third part of my last days in Barcelona! I promise there is only one more post left of Barcelona and after that I will try to adjust to normal life again and write more things about Greece hehe. Who knew that getting used to my old life here would be so difficult. I have changed so much these past nine months that I have been away and people seem to complain even more about the crisis which I totally understand...life is not easy here.

To continue with something more happy...more pictures yey!

 Barrio Gótico. Recommend you to go there!

 Vegetables in La Boqueria...I am sure Hanna would go there every day if she lived in Barcelona :D

This is the story of how we got all these juices: I took my friends to La Boqueria to see how amazing it is and usually when I go there I always take a juice because they are so damn delicious! Anyway, we went there with Hanna and Essi to buy three juices, but I guess the woman who was selling them either liked the way I talked excellent Spanish ( NOT!) or she just wanted to get rid of them, so she kept giving us more and more. In the end we ended up with six juices and our hands full :D How I love Spanish people...Toma, toma, toma ( take, take, take ) hehe at least we didn't need to pay for them :P

 Now you understand why I gained so much weight! Lots of chocolate, ice cream and tapas for two months => heaven! :D

 I was so proud to fill in the Greek word for lion :D I don't know who put that list there, but it's funny how many people actually had written on it!

Even though now that I think about it...I didn't do so many exciting things in Barcelona, just going out and meeting new people, but the fact that I was there was exciting enough for me :D

I will end my post here and go to bed because I am realllyyyyy tired!

Two and a half Finnish girls in Barcelona part 2

¡Hola!

Hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää kaikille suomalaisille ympäri maailmaa! Today is the independence day of Finland and as every year this time I am celebrating it here with my family and Finnish friends who live in Greece. I even made a cheesecake after a long time hehe :D If it turns out good I will put the recipe on here!

Now I promised to put the pictures of my last days in Barcelona in different posts so here it goes!
To be continued after the Parc Guell we walked through Barrio Gotico and stopped for a coffee in Buenas Amigas ( my favourite coffee place...and so cheap! hehe).

I am still thinking about Barcelona every day and I think that people start to get annoyed with the fact that I am talking about my trip there all the time...I am trying really hard to hold myself though!

Being home after a long time is strange but I will get used to it :) I drived for the first time yesterday and I must say that it was quite challenging! Greek drivers are crazyyyy!! D:

 

I guess I will have to get used to the Greek mentality again haha

Two and a half Finnish girls in Barcelona part 1

¡Hola, hola!

I am still alive even though I haven't written anything for quite a while now! The girls came to Barcelona and left and I did the same thing :( I am in Greece now and I must say that on of the most horrible things for me is traveling alone with two suitcases. Okay, there are more horrible things but for yesterday it was quite bad! Anyway now I am back home and I must say that I left my heart in Barcelona! At the beginning of my trip I had no idea how much those two months were going to change me as a person, but I think I have learned so many things about myself and in a way I have "grown". So the final conclusion is that I gained more experience, 3 kilos (that I will have to lose somehow! ) and amazing friends all over the world! My main goal was to learn Spanish ( which I did ), but in the end it was so much more than that! Now I can say that all the hard work that I did during the summer was totally worth it :)

I am going to post the pictures that we took with the girls in different posts because I don't want to make one looooong post. So here it goes!
As always Parc Guell was the first things I took the girls to see!

Barcelona was really something! I can't believe I won't be able to dance salsa anymore :( I just realized that :O

So many good memories...I will definitely go back!
