Here and there

Hola muchachos! These past few days have been busy, busy, busy, but I am back to continue my stories starting with the end of my trip in London.

11-12.11.2013: London

On my last days in London I just wanted to relax and take it easy as I had seen already the most "important" tourist attractions. Me and Eve ended up going to the British museum again to see the rest of the things I didn't get to see on the first time (me and my little obsession with museums!). I still didn't visit the Science museum, but I'm keeping that for my next visit ;)

Eve also had the idea of going to the theatre which was a very good choice! We booked the cheapest tickets we could get on the last row which was supposed to be with restricted view. We were expecting really bad seats, but they turned out to be pretty good and for the price we got them they were excellent! In case you want to watch a play in London The 39 Steps is something that I would definitely recommend :)

13-16.11.2013: Finland

It was time to say goodbye to London and head up north to my half homeland, Finland! After 6 hours of waiting at the airport, one crazy man making a big fuss for nothing and two hours of flight I made it to Tampere. Thanks to ryanair we were on time and I made it by 5 minutes to the train to my city. It was a tiring trip, but it was good to see my family again all together. The reason of my trip wasn't so happy though as I went there for my grandmother's funeral. To be honest though I thought it was a good funeral. My sister had prepared a slide show of old pictures throughout my grandmothers life and we got to share old memories we had of her. We sang her favorite songs and I am sure she would have been happy with what we had prepared for her. It still was a terrible day, but for me it was a good way to say goodbye to her.

17-18.11.2013: Barcelona

I didn't get to spend too much time in Finland as I had a flight back to Barcelona the day after the funeral. I got to spend two very rainy days in Barcelona before heading back to Sevilla again. Thankfully I met two nice people at the hostel I was staying so the time passed by really fast. It was also a good chance to visit some of the main attractions again and just walk around my favorite areas in Barcelona.

18.11.2013: Sevilla

Thanks to ryanair once again my flight back to Sevilla was late for like an hour, but other than that their cheap prices still make me want to fly with them (ugh!).  My return back to Sevilla wasn't what I quite expected. All my friends had left to other cities so I must say that I felt quite lonely on my first days here. Thankfully I met more new people and little by little that feeling of frustration went away. Besides, I got a book for one euro from the flee market the other day so now I can practise my Spanish...what else could I possibly need?!
Sigh...it's good to be back "home"! I missed the narrow streets of Sevilla <3
I have to go to the doctors today so wish me luck...I hope my Spanish is good enough to explain about my ear infection. Going to the doctor's here is a nightmare, maaaah!

Have good weekend everybody!

London part 3

9.11.2013:

On Saturday I changed my host and I went to stay with my other friend, Eve or better known with the Spanish name Manuela, that I also met in Barcelona last year. Apparently Spanish people couldn't pronunciate her name so they came up with a better name for her.

I decided to do nothing that day and just relax after all that walking I had been doing the previous days! Also that was the day I tried for the first time of my life fish & chips! It would have been a big insult if I hadn't tried that British speciality.
Eve bought me a big amount of bisquits to try out. Lucky me! :)
 Yummyyy!

10.11.2013:

The next morning Eve made me a vegetarian English breakfast which surely kept me going the whole day!

On a nice day like that it would have been a terrible mistake to stay inside so we headed out to the mysterious streets of London once again. Our fist stop was The Monument!
In case you were wondering we did actually go all the way up!
 Eve likes pink
 It wasn't scary at all...
 ...but we made it!
The view was definitely worth it even though I am terrified of high places! I am sure everybody heard my screaming when we got to the top "OH F*CK IT'S SO HIGH!"...ooopsy!
At least we got a certificate (that I have probably lost already) in the end to prove that we had gone all the way up!
We walked for quite a while and ended up in China town!
Thanks to that jacket I didn't lose Eve in those busy streets of London!
 That looks interesting...
A good friend I made on the way ;)
 We kept walking and walking...
That was a living hell for me...people everywhere! Where did all these people come from??
I did find these quite awesome!
Our night ended succesfully with a cold glass of coke in an English pub! You may call us lame, but that was a delicious coke. Me and Eve know how to have fun without the alcohol! ;)

London part 2

The adventure in London continues...

7.11.2013:

Jenna was tired of all the walking we had done the previous day (and I don't blame her) so I explored the city on my own the next day. I ended up going to Buckingham Palace and from there I walked to the National Gallery and from there I went to the Tate Britain....phew, lot's of walking once again!
I was definitely on the right way for buckingham palace! Score!
I was a bit disappointed of how small it was after all. It wasn't as massive as I expected, meh.
 Tadaaaa!
I didn't get to see those men with the big hats after all because the guard change took place (according to that) at 11:30 from May-July...snif, snif
At least the park across the buckingham palace was nice, so that was a plus!
This little guy was in a hurry...
Once I was done with my little walk around the park, I walked to Trafalgar Square and visited the National Gallery for about 3 hours! Why does everything has to be so big in London??
As if I had any intention of going in there...
Once again I found my way succesfully to the National Gallery without getting myself lost...score, score!
Museums in London just seemed to be endless! Just when I was about to say that "alright, now I have seen everything" some sneaky little room would appear from nowhere that I hadn't been to yet. I love art, but that was just too much!

8.11.2013:

The next day me and Jenna met with Andrew who is another guy we met in Barcelona. It was a rainy day so we decided to stay indoors as much as possible. The best way to spend our time was visit The British Museum which was once again MASSIVE!

 Mummies of cats...
...and small crocodiles. I am pretty sure they would mummify anything they could find! They even had mummies of fish :O
 some serious faces
At first I was wondering why everybody was so interested of seeing that stone, but then I saw that it was the Rosetta Stone so that explained everything.
Then we bumped into something more familiar...
Ancient Greece!
In one visit we didn't get to see everything which is normal for such a big museum so we decided to get some cake!
 Red velvet for me <3
Andrew decided to go crazy and get a piece of rainbow cake...I tried it and it was pretty good believe it or not!
The night ended succesfully with a musical! "We will rock you" was on that night and it was great!
Everybody was telling me that I should go to a musical while I was in London and it was definitely worth all the money I spent on it (trust me it wasn't cheap!)
The show was great and we all went home happy with the songs of Queen stuck in our heads hehe.

Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
...
Because I'm easy come easy go
...
Mamaaaa just killed a man
...
Mamaaaaaa oooooooh!

So on and so on
